2006-07 Samooha predictions for Indian SME

This is neither a routine forecast nor an IT prediction by Gardener, McKingsLie and associates!

However, these are some serious projections by Samooha managers to enable Indian Enterprise transformation to match and eventually exceed global standards so that India could reach out to the world and collaborate for collective growth.

Here go the projections:

1 million businesses and service institutions ranging from educational, health care to NGOs will install, evaluate and adopt the FREE version of Samooha (Samooha-S) for their basic ERP, inventory and accounting needs. They will do so either by downloading the FREE software or by procuring a CD for Rs. 500 from their nearest computer store.

Members of Samooha and their associates will bill around Rs. 1 Billion in training and support for Samooha-S for those who are slow to catch up and hence request for support.

10000 businesses with Rs.5 Million to Rs.50 Million turnover will begin to adopt a proven and simplified ERP, Samooha-M the multi-user version with a few additional features @ rate of Rs.99k for a 6 user configuration comprising of Admin, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounts and Basic Production Reporting. That comes with a week long training and a year long online support.

Members of Samooha will bill substantial amount from this huge volume of Samooha-M implementations.

1000 businesses will evaluate the options of extending their implementations to Samooha-L with a few more modules for managing their Payroll, HR and so on.

Members of Samooha will manage most of this show for Indian manufacturers and businesses to help them gain maximum mileage in world markets.

At least, 1000 SME manufacturers, cottage industry producers who will actively explore Samooha business networks with always-on internet connection would close overseas deals for the first time in 2006-07. This happens through the distributed search engine and distributed business networks built into Samooha which is first in the world.

At least 10000 global business networks will exist on Samooha running on 10000 computer systems all over the world and 1000 amongst them should be from India.

Why such an exciting news is not seen in Print or TV media?
Because it is exclusive for Online media and Samooha managers would wait till 50% of the projections to become a reality before hurriedly calling for a politically correct Press Meet.

Why such a hurry when these segments can be enabled in the next 10 years when they complete their education to move to business software such as ERP, CRM etc and can be charged adequately?
India has just begun to respond to global needs. Waiting for the education and maturity may delay the exposure therefore resulting into lost opportunities. Hence the mix of self- education by end users and an exercise of putting them on extra tonic.
