The upcountry IT market of Alwar is experiencing a slow but steady growth. However, the demand for the branded PCs and laptops is increasing day by day. With less corporate presence in this region, channel partners are focusing on end user segment.
Speaking to itVARnews, Owner, Best computer System, Deepak Sardana said, "Alwar IT market is growing at an annual rate of 20%. We basically deal in softwares and at present are enjoying an annual turn over of Rs. 40-50 lakh. Since corporate hold in Alwar is not so strong, we target end users mainly."
Though a small region, the demand for the IT products here comes from host of segments comprising corporate to the government. On this Proprietor, City Computers, Amit Mathur said, "Alwar has industries, engineering colleges, government sectors and many other segments apart from corporate. Our major focus is on end user segment."
Consumers here are now demanding branded PCs and laptops. "The sale of branded PCs and laptops is growing day by day as compared to the last year. Compaq, Lenovo are some of the popular brands that have strengthen their position in the Alwar IT market. Last year we enjoyed an annual turn over of Rs. 3 crore and this year we are expecting more," added Proprietor, Ganpati Computers, Dayanand Gupta.
