Many mobile phones in the market have come out with large storage capacity allowing users to store a lot of data including movies. But now Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL), which is a state owned telecom service, has launched its mobile TV service in India. This service is initially available on experimental basis in the Indian cities of Mumbai and Delhi.

With this, MSN Mobile customers in the US can see banner and text ad placements that conform to the US mobile advertising guidelines provided by the Mobile Marketing Association. Paramount Pictures and Jaguar Cars North America are among the first companies to launch MSN Mobile campaigns in the US.

Air Deccan ties up with Oxigen for mobile ticketing

BANGALORE: Low cost carrier (LCC) Air Deccan (Deccan) has tied up Oxigen to enable mobile users to avail of the ‘mFly Oxigen Cash Wallet’ to purchase air tickets for its flights starting today.

The mFly account is a prepaid user account which can be accessed through a mobile phone to book, pay for and generate Deccan tickets instantly.

India has an estimated base of 200 million mobile users currently, a figure that is estimated to go up to 500 million over the next few years so that almost one in two Indians will have a mobile connection.

The Indian gaming market is growing at a dizzying pace. The figures tell the story. The Indian gaming segment — comprising mobile, computer and console games and development — touched Rs 192 crore in 2006, and is likely to cross Rs 1,700 crore by 2010, states Nasscom.

Game based on 'Hanuman Returns' movie

While the movie is slated to hit theaters on December 28, 2007, the mobile game, "Hanuman Returns", is expected to hit stores about two weeks ahead of the film's release.

In a bid to let Indian audiences witness the rise and rise of a very Indian superhero, Jump Games has partnered with the film's makers, Percept Picture Company (PPC), to launch the mobile game, "Hanuman Returns".

And, Microsoft has been roped-in for the Xbox 360- and Xbox Live- versions of the game.

MUMBAI: Reliance Entertainment's gaming portal Zapak Digital Entertainment has announced the launch of Zapak Game Cards. These cards will allow gamers to purchase full version of downloadable games from zapak.com on their PCs. It is also the first ever collectible game card series for grown up kids in the age group of 6-to-12 years.

The gamer needs to purchase Zapak Game Cards worth Rs. 99, which will reveal a code when scratched. He will have to visit the URL printed on the card and get himself registered there, if he is not a Zapak gamer yet. The next step will follow with a list of games he can purchase for Rs 99, post which he will need to click on the game of his choice and type the code on the card to download the game on his PC and own it.
