Eco-awareness campaign at Technopark as part of Earth Day celebrations

Kerala's leading IT and BPO services company, UST Global, Tuesday launched a campaign for environmental awareness at the Technopark campus here.

The centrepiece of the campaign was an innovative "pookalam" ( floral carpet) with ecology messages, backed by a poster and signature campaign for spreading eco-awareness.

Saudi knowledge city in tie-up with Wipro

Saudi Arabia's Knowledge Economic City (KEC) Al Madinah will utilize leading Indian IT major Wipro's solutions and assess the possibility of developing an ICT-related research and development centre within KEC.

An agreement to this effect was signed by KEC chairman Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Mohammed Al-Issa and Wipro chairman Azim Premji in Jeddah Friday.

26 percent growth in computer sales in Q3 2007-08

According to a survey by MAIT, the apex body representing the hardware, training and R&D services sectors of the IT industry in the country, the total PC sales (both desktops and notebooks) between October and December 2007 were 1.75 million (17.5 lakh) units, registering a growth of 26 percent against the same period last fiscal.
