E- Business Sumitt 2006

Introduction
At a conservative estimate, B2C e-commerce is set to reach Rs. 2,300 crores by March 2007. But this is just the tip of e-Business in India. If we were to include the less visible B2B segment as well as the e-commerce initiatives of many brick and mortar companies, the figure would be much much larger. E-Business is, therefore, no longer a wish but a reality in India. It is happening here and now.

It is happening because companies large and small have clearly seen its benefits and have either taken the plunge or are testing the waters.

However, while for some having taken the plunge it is a question of understanding what the future holds for them; for others yet to test the waters, it is a question of what solution best suits them.

The IAMAI organized e-Business Summit is designed to address both groups. On the one hand, it will seek to address the challenges and opportunities that are likely to emerge in the near term to alert those who have already adopted this mode of business; on the other hand, it will also address the queries of those who need a little nudge to get on board.
