EA Announces partnership with Excel Interactive for PC Games in India

Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) the world's leading interactive software entertainment company, headquartered in Redwood City,
California, has appointed Excel Interactive as its master licensee for its PC games business in India, and . Through the tie up agreement EA will distribute and replicate its PC games in India.

Ajay Khanna, General Manager, Electronic Arts, India commented, "EA is delighted to be working with Excel Interactive to broaden our PC game distribution base in India., The tie-up with Excel Interactive will ensure
that we are able to provide EA's growing fan base in India, with the latest games as soon as they are launched worldwide."

Says M.N Kapasi, Managing Director, Excel Interactive, "Excel Interactive's association with the world's leading video game developer, Electronic Arts, will compliment our presence in the home video space. It is a natural progression for us to enter this segment as the distribution of the gaming product overlaps with that of the home video."

Some of EA's most popular game franchises and titles include Need for SpeedT, FIFA Soccer, The SimsT, EA SPORTST Cricket, Battlefield 2142T, Tiger Woods PGA TOURR , Harry PotterT, and The Lord of the RingsT.

Its amazing how Excel Interactive managed to clinch a multi-million dollar deal with Electronics Arts without even having a website of their own :-p
That is not to say that they are not doing good work. Congratulations and Kudos to the EI team.
