CNBC and DNA will be our media partners for the event.
About the event
This event is being coordinated by the student body under the guidance of the faculty. The discussion on “ Who is the next Big Customer ?” for the Information technology industry will be between senior executives from the demand side [consisting of FMCG companies, manufacturing organizations and services sector] and the supply side [consisting of IT solution providers, software developers and integration solution providers, consultants]. There will be a jury of “visionaries” who will give expert comments and “course-correction” to the discussion. An experienced moderator from the media will conduct the discussion and the proceedings will be recorded by CNBC for a telecast later on. We are also talking with the secretariat of The President of India as well as the office of The Prime Minister, for getting their views on the issue in the form of a videographed message.
What is the relevance of the event?
This forum will bring to one platform, business leaders from the supply side of the IT industry, the demand side of the IT industry and also the representatives from the Government and regulatory bodies. The students will be involved alongside the working professionals in the industry. The audience will consist of middle and senior management executives who will be encouraged to participate in the debate by posing questions and expressing their views on the various issues. We firmly believe that a discussion of this topic by such a diverse group will kindle fresh thought in the minds of all involved in it.
The event will commence at 1600 hours on the 7 th of January 2006 .
