The Marico Innovation Foundation instituted the first ever Innovation for India awards in 2006. The awards aim to recognize the greatest innovations to come out of India in the recent past - innovations that have positively impacted our lives and have at their core a great idea coupled with a unique insight.
The Innovation for India Awards 2008 aims to recognize the greatest innovations to come out of India in the recent past - innovations that have positively impacted our lives and have at their core a great idea coupled with a unique insight.
All Indian companies, social organizations and government bodies that have nurtured a brilliant idea & successfully implemented them were invited to apply for the Innovation for India Awards. The Awards call for nominations received a total of 206 entries.
The Innovation nominations received cut across several different industries – water purification, power solutions, paper manufacturing process, Hotels, Architectural Firms, Health solutions, commodity exchanges etc. This is a great indicator of the fact that the Innovation for India awards are attracting a wide spectrum of entries - not only the hard technology, product or IT companies entering these awards.
Grand Finale : Award Ceremony: 19 March 2008 : Mumbai
The Grand Finale on 19th March has been designed as a learning event that will provoke new thoughts and uncover blind spots as the innovators take you through their challenges, pains & triumphs in making a quantum difference through Innovation.
