Overview

As part of NASSCOM’s initiatives to encourage new destinations for the IT-BPO sector, we are supporting “IT Business Leadership Summit 2008” on March 13-14, 2008 being organized in Aurangabad (World heritage site and a Buddhist Tourist Destination) by Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA), Aurangabad Municipal Corporation and other local organizations in association with MIDC and STPI.
The focus of the event is to enable industry leaders, academicians and entrepreneurs to converge at a common forum. The event will include an array of keynote presentations and panel discussions by the industry, academia & government and will provide a platform to identify and unravel opportunities in the IT-BPO sector in Aurangabad.
Special offer by the organizers for IT-BPO Delegates:A return airfare to delegate for Vice President level and above for Mumbai-Aurangabad-Mumbai sector Hotel and local transportation including sight seeing will be provided by the organizers
Block booking is made for 13th March on Jet Airways from Mumbai on first come first basis and the flight will be pre-pone to 4.30 pm (instead of 6 pm current timing)

Day 1: 13th March, 2008
1900 hrs
  • Hon’ble Chief Minister and Hon’ble Minister for Industries, GoM are invited to join the inaugural session at 7 pm. A CNBC Panel Discussion is planned on 13th March with CM as a panel member.
  • Dinner Reception for all the speakers and delegates is hosted by Videocon Group
  • There will be virtual “Ground Breaking” ceremony of four IT parks coming up in Aurangabad by CM
Day 2: 14th March, 2008
0930 - 1800 hrs
  • Aurangabad – T2IT (Technology, Tourism to IT) – A Road Ahead Presentation by NASSCOM followed by panel discussion
  • Industry-Academia Session: Keynote address
  • Panel discussion moderated by Dr. Sandhya Chintala, Director – Education initiative, NASSCOM
  • BPO : Emerging Opportunity in Tier II cities: Advantage Aurangabad
  • CIO Panel Discussion – Growing the Domestic IT Market
    Presentation on Domestic opportunities by Rajdeep Sahrawat, VP, NASSCOM .
    Panel discussion moderated by Rajdeep with CIOs from Skroda (Auto maker), Endurance (Auto ancillary), Wockhardt (Pharma), Videocon (Appliances)
  • E-Governance : Impact of technology in better governance
    Panel Discussion between Govt. officials and IT CEOs
Track II Faculty Development Interaction – Principals and HODs of ICT and CS dept. of Engineering colleges from Marathwada Region will be addressed by IT / BPO Companies
