As part of NASSCOM's Emerging Companies Forum – it’s our pleasure to invite you to the workshop for SMEs on
‘Taking Off into the Next Orbit’ on Wednesday, 5th March 2008 at 10:00 am.

Your company may have successfully passed through its struggle to establish and survive. The next phase should be sustainable growth. Yet the challenges of the growth phase are quite different from those you just overcame, in the survival phase.Several fundamental questions need to be asked now:

What is really your constraint?
How should you think about the market?
How should you design your organization?

This workshop draws your attention to these issues and engages in a dialogue with you, on how best you can take off into the next orbit – the orbit of growth. The aim is to draw upon the collective wisdom of the participants, as well as to share best practices seen in other companies and contexts.

Speaker Profile

Dr. Ashok Korwar, Management ConsultantDr. Ashok Korwar is a management consultant focused on helping small to medium companies grow to the next level. He is now based in Pune.Since 2000, he has been advising several companies in Chennai, most prominently Polaris Software Lab, where he has been strategic advisor to the Chairman. He now works with several companies in this scale, in Bangalore, Pune and Delhi. Before coming to Chennai, he was Professor at IIM, Ahmedabad, for ten years. He has coordinated several management development programs, including the MEP, and served as Chairman of the MBA (PGP) program. His book Creating Markets Across the Globe won the Escorts/DMA award for best management book in 1997. He was a member of the Strategic Management (Business Policy), Finance, and International Management areas at IIMA. He holds a Ph.D. in management from UCLA and B.Tech from IIT Bombay.
