Abstract

• Evolving an Agile Enterprise : Focus on understanding the business drivers, technology enablers and adopting the business service paradigm.
• SOA Paradigm : Understanding the SOA paradigm and its evolution, enabling business services and agility.
• Building Blocks for SOA : Focus on SOA lifecycle, available tools and technologies, Industry Standards, Governance.
• Industry trends : Industry adoption of SOA with specific focus on BFS and a discussion on various adoption models.
• Practical SOA : The topic of discussion would be focused on some practical implementations of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and the subtleties in managing SOA projects. This session will explain the SDLC model required to develop an SOA based project with emphasis on design and testing.

About the speakers

Rajan Lohar heads the Technology Consulting group in the Banking and Financial Services vertical and is part of the core SOA team responsible for defining BFS vertical’s SOA strategy and competency. Rajan has over 19 years of IT experience primarily in the US. Prior to joining Cognizant, Rajan worked at Euclid, Inc. as Vice President - Professional Services. He was responsible for driving Business Service Management solutions for Fortune 500 customers. Rajan co-founded Pretzel Logic Software, Inc in 1993, Pretzel’s technology division was acquired by WebGain in 2001. Rajan gained his first exposure to the SOA in 1999, when executing projects based on HP’s eSpeak platform.

Raji Panicker is a Delivery Manager within the Banking and Financial services domain. He has more than 10 years of industry experience in delivering cutting edge technology projects and programs.
