Game based on 'Hanuman Returns' movie

While the movie is slated to hit theaters on December 28, 2007, the mobile game, "Hanuman Returns", is expected to hit stores about two weeks ahead of the film's release.

In a bid to let Indian audiences witness the rise and rise of a very Indian superhero, Jump Games has partnered with the film's makers, Percept Picture Company (PPC), to launch the mobile game, "Hanuman Returns".

And, Microsoft has been roped-in for the Xbox 360- and Xbox Live- versions of the game.

A fast-paced, action adventure game, "Hanuman Returns" sees Hanuman , wielding his mace (gada), fighting odds, and generally making sure that good wins over evil in the end.

The game boasts a slick interface, and is compatible with most mobile phones.

Jump Games CEO, Salil Bhargava, said that with a larger-than-life character like Hanuman, the game holds incredible scope. If the film is a mythological character-based animation, the game takes it all to the next level by celebrating Hanuman, the super hero.

"Hanuman Returns", the mobile game, is expected to release about two weeks before the film. And, the game's makers say this is only the first in an entire series of games based on pavanputra Hanuman.
