BACKGROUND :

Both our personal and professional worlds are extremely dependent today on the Cyber World. The world is increasingly dependent on networked information and communication technologies (ICT). But, with growing dependency, new threats to network and information security have emerged and there is ever-growing vulnerability to Cyber Crime. This is also true for India where the number of internet users is growing rapidly and where ICT are of crucial importance for its economy. Thus, an effort to spread awareness of Cyber Security is the need of the hour.


Gujarat Informatics Ltd., Govt. of Gujarat has agreed to associate in this event, with GESIA bringing in the private sector perspective and the ICT industries of Gujarat State on Cybercrime.
