Google and user's privacy

Google was founded as a search engine, but now, of course, it’s much more than that. Product developments, acquisitions and partnerships have expanded the Mountain View, Calif.-based company’s reach to advertising, Gmail, blogs, mapping and video sharing.

The technology and awareness among the user is increasing and so this is sure that world knows about you if you love to be online, as you are never far from any internet freak's searches.

The study says, that:

- Few people are obsessing over the amount of personal information online. Just 3 percent said they Google themselves regularly. The rest said they've searched their names once, twice or occasionally.

- Someone has probably Googled you. A third of Internet users say they have sought out someone's profile on a social networking site, searched for someone's photo or searched for someone else's public records, real estate transactions, divorce proceedings, bankruptcies or other legal actions.
