Since long I was using the mail server provided by my hosting company. Then I heard about hosted services from Google (http://google.com/a).
My mail server was having some problems & I wanted to try hosted services, so I moved my mail service to google.com
Before moving to google, the spam count on my mail server was ZERO (I mean it) & now I can see atleast 5-6 SPAMs daily in my mailbox. I agree that SPAM detection of google is very nice but why SPAM started in the first place, my account was very clean before this.
I thougt it could be some coincidence so I moved another domain to the hosted service & now I'm sure that there is some problem.
Even in this hosted mail server I have started getting SPAM
Anyone else feel the same?
Hi,
may be your previous hosting company was blocking all spam and delete them automatically and Gmail is showing these spam before deleting?
Vinayak
I configured the spam on the old server to mark the subject with [SPAM] & deliver it to the mailbox, also the hit count for SPAM test was 4 (I was liberal there)
I like the way gmail efficiently detects all the spam but still...
