The HCL Technology Hub at Noida, National Capital Region of Delhi, was today inaugurated by Mr. Kamal Nath, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Hon’ble Former President of India. Mr. P. Chidambaram, Hon’ble Finance Minister presided over this function. Dr. Kalam in his key note address outlined his vision for the transformational role of technology in shaping the future of India and the world. Mr. Chidambaram and Mr. Kamal Nath also spoke about the role of technology in enabling growth & development.
HCL Technologies Ltd is expected to invest to the tune of Rs 1000 crore ($250 million) in the HCL Technology Hub;which is envisioned to become the crucible of knowledge sharing, fermentation of ideas and the incubation & development of powerful next-generation intellectual property. The 46 acre verdant facility will have 2 million sq. ft of space for 15000 professionals developing technologies for the future; and generate revenues in excess of $1 billion annually. This Tech Hub will set a benchmark in ‘green’ buildings, compliant with and exceeding international standards in energy efficiency, safety and security.

We shall be extending such technology hubs beyond large cities, to the Tier II cities of Nagpur, Madurai and Lucknow; truly taking technology to where the talent is”.

The HCL Technology Hub has been built with a vision to create a melting pot where the best and brightest minds in India can invent technologies in order to dominate global competition. This technology hub is being created to be of the finest in the world and aims to catalyze many more in the future journey of Indian IT & Technology creation.
The entire Technology Hub infrastructure is designed as per ‘green’ building norms and some of its prominent features include efficient use of water, energy efficient and eco friendly equipment, effective use of landscape and effective control & building management systems. The landscape includes water bodies, a large lake and lots of green - all of which combined take up almost 65 – 70 % of the total space. Keeping employee welfare in mind, a gym is planned to be equipped with latest and hi-tech health and fitness equipment and a multi-cuisine cafeteria is designed to provide a variety of food.
