IT and your health

Can IT be dangerous to your health?

Most people would answer Yes to this question....but for a multitude of reasons.

Well we know you work hard, long hours, no breaks, poor (ish) pay and so on.
There are 5 simple measures you can take to improve your health, irrespective.
In fact this applies globally and not just to IT folks.

A recent study published in "Circulation" a few days ago followed 42 847 men, ages 40 to 75 for 16 years and found that:

"Only 4% of educated, motivated, professional men were able to follow all five healthy habits," namely:
do not smoke,
exercising daily,
eating prudently,
consuming alcohol in moderation, and
maintaining a healthy weight

Which one of these do you not do?

If you comply with all 5 healthy habits, you are well on the way to reducing your risk of heart disease by 87% and prevent 62% of coronary heart disease.
Even if you already have heart problems, and taking medications, adopting these 5 habits will still prevent 57% of coronary heart disease.
Adopted just two or more of these healthy habits will lower your risk of coronary heart disease by 27% compared to those who will not make these lifestyle changes.

So, get up RIGHT NOW! and get your heart pumping.
As always, consult your doctor to see what is best for you.
