Sometime back I read an article by John Seely Brown, where he said:
Technology will change so fast in the 21st century that schools must teach aspiring engineers how to become lifelong students instead of teaching them specific skills.
It is an excellent article and I would urge everyone who is interested in teaching and learning should read the article.
I'm more turned on by the idea of Distance Education. A concept which surprisingly has not caught on fully.
Imagine, no more restrictions in getting admissions to schools like MIT, Stanford, IITs, etc (for certain theory-inclined courses)
In fact , I myself had attended a Distance Learning program from IIT, Mumbai and it was great.
