Department of Computer Science and Information Technology is going to organize the International conference on "Advances in Computer Vision and Information Technology ACVIT-07" on auspicious occasion of Golden Jubilee Year August 2007-08 of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (MS)-India.

ACVIT-07 will provide, a high quality forum for academician, engineers, industrialists, scientists and researchers engaged in teaching, research and development of Computer Science and Information Technology to spark ideas and share their views to solve the complex design challenges and trends the face. The latest trends in IT represent a new intellectual paradigm for scientific exploration and visualization of scientific phenomenon.

We are organizing this conference to touch the emerging technologies and help the researchers by bringing them on a common platform. Lectures by eminent speakers, invited talks, paper presentations, technical demonstration and panel discussion are some of the major features of the conference. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of IEEE ACVIT-07. A contest for the student Best Paper Award will be held and an award will be given. The regular technical program will run for three days along with an exhibition of Computer Vision and Information Technology products. In addition, tutorial sessions will be held on the first day of the conference.

Interview with Mr. Sushil Gupta : Pune - From 100 crore to 10,000 crore

Mr. Sushil Gupta is ex-director and Chief Executive of STPI, Pune and was looking after the STPI's in the state of Maharasthra. By Qualification he is an Electronics Engineer with Masters in Electronic and Communication Engineering from IIT, Roorkee , MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University and M.Phil in Public Administation from Punjab Universtiy.

Mr. Gupta was director of STPI from 1997 - 2004, during that time Mr. Gupta setup 6 centres of STPI in Maharasthra ( Pune, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nashik and Kolhapur ). The main purpose of these centres were dedicated communication facilities which are core to IT companies.
