Alwar IT Market Grows As Demand For Branded Pcs & Laptops Spurs

The upcountry IT market of Alwar is experiencing a slow but steady growth. However, the demand for the branded PCs and laptops is increasing day by day. With less corporate presence in this region, channel partners are focusing on end user segment.

Speaking to itVARnews, Owner, Best computer System, Deepak Sardana said, "Alwar IT market is growing at an annual rate of 20%. We basically deal in softwares and at present are enjoying an annual turn over of Rs. 40-50 lakh. Since corporate hold in Alwar is not so strong, we target end users mainly."

Question for techies

I'm an IT magazine (www.itmagz.com) author working on the eVoice column for its December 2006 issue. To clarify, the eVoice column is an opinions based column that answers a specific question.

The question we're asking in the Dec 2006 issue is, "When is it time to say, 'Okay! This product has one too many features now... time to stop adding more!'"

The motive behind the question is to highlight whether feature-clutter or overdose happens in technology products (such as cell phones) and as a corollary, whether sometimes tech companies should leave existing products as they are and work towards launching a new product.
