WHY DIDNT INDIAN COMPANY RESEARCH
Show / Hide Comment

It is a great news but if any Govt. Research Organization or Indian telecom operator Co. would have done the research, then y things can acutally happen.NOKIA is still a handset selling company.Even, The Ministry of Telecommunications has also set the target of reaching the 500 million-subscribers by 2010.
BSNL and Bharti Airtel are trying to connect the remote places, but until GPRS/ GSM/ CDMA and other technologies will reach there internet will grow like super-boy.

And if handsets manufacturers can provide low cost, low end devices to Rural India, Why not call charges and other things can be reduces. After all everybody is getting MASS MARKET.
