Motorola Launches Certified Network Engineer Programme (MCNE) in India

Motorola India Private Limited, in association with CMC Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS), and Edutech India Private Limited, today launched the Motorola Certified Network Engineer (MCNE) programme for aspiring engineers who want to carve out an exciting career in the Telecoms industry in India. MCNE is a first of its kind, standards-based, world-class telecom certification programme in India, which is being launched following its successful introduction into China. It is aimed at imparting structured and technically rich training to engineers in diverse range of current and next generation mobile communication technologies that are used by telecom operators and the industry, across global markets, and optimized to meet the rigorous professional demands of the industry.

Designed and developed with the support of industry experts, the MCNE portfolio of Certifications will be introduced in phases. The current launch of MCNE certification in India is the first step up the ladder of Telecom proficiencies that will ultimately lead to the Motorola Certified Network Engineer status.

This programme will offer several tracks on the various telecommunication standards used in the Wireless/Wireline access, Core network, Services and Application domains of the industry. This current release includes Wireless Access Technologies such as GSM, GPRS, CDMA and UMTS, their capabilities and characteristics, engineering implementation technology, and protocols and industry requirements.

It is aimed at helping the industry lower the cost of selecting and retaining employees, improve work efficiencies and ensure faster deployment and implementation of engineering projects.
