It has been long time since online office war is going on in most of the companies.Online office is nothing but the concept of hosting your documents,sharing documents on server,which will be easy to use and from eveywhere. Main thing to consider is integration between current office document formats and supported one's on web and also internet integration for PDF,PPT and mail. This allows us to syncronize our documents from any location.
There has been rumors regading GDrive concept by google.But my question is when google is already hosting our mails,docs,blogs in logical drives then why it needs GDrive? May be it is to group all personal information under one hood.
The main companies in online office wars are ZOHO,Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
But if we consider personal requirement of personalization and document support then my mind goes beyond this and search for other solution and I wonder to see two Indian products or prodcuts developed by Indian origin people on same track.
One is live documents by Sabir Bhatia and another one is e-Deskonline.There might be other products I am missing.
E-deskonline seems to be more promising interms of document hosting,mail integration,personal hosting,media hosting at one place.
I found it worth to use.
