Search for Co-founder

Hi all,

Early stage startup based in Mumbai, India is looking for a co-founder to participate in the development of a software (web application). You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Co-write the prototype (mainly)
- Participate in design
- Contribute in developing marketing strategy

The goal is to get the web application and host the portal by Dec 2007 and launch the business service based on it in the next few months.

You are a programming guru who is also business inclined. You want a real lifestyle job, not a cubicle. Motivated and very passionate, you are firm believer in your competencies and want to play a major role in building a company to worldwide success.

You will be working with a serious individual with several years of experience in the industry and research, a solid determination and connections with high caliber individuals that might potentially serve on the board or eventually be part of the upper management team.

I’m looking for a web technologist with initiative, an entrepreneurial mind and a winner attitude, who is well versed in several of the following tools/technologies: Java, J2EE,J2ME, Jboss, Struts MySQL, Linux.

This is an equity paying position (for now); I will give as much as 5-8% to the right candidate, and a moderate salary (within reason) for six to eight months still we get cashflows or funding.

Summary of the requirements:
- Strong problem solver.
- A Formal education in Computer Science /MCA / Math / Engineering.
- Hands-on expertise in several of the following :
o C++/C
o Java, J2EE, Struts
o Jboss

o MySQL (or other SQL servers)
o HTML, CSS
o XML
o Familiarity with Linux
o Knowledge of Ajax (not required but definitely an asset)
- Ability to work from home.
- Either located in / or can come frequently to Mumbai for meetings.
