Profile of Satyendra Kumar

Satyendra Kumar, Senior Vice President - Group Head Quality Joined Infosys in September 2000 and is a member of the Management Council. His role involves ‘productivity enhancement ‘; ‘creating an improvement culture ‘; and ‘customer satisfaction measurements’ across the company.
Prior to joining Infosys, Kumar was Head of Quality at IMR Global,since 1998. He also worked as a deputy chief executive for Tata Quality Management Services from 1996 to 1998. He is member of various national committees on standardization on ‘ Service Quality ‘ , ‘ Software systems’ and ‘ Higher education assessment ‘

Profile of Ashank Desai
Mastek Ltd , Founded by him & his other 3 colleagues 22 years ago , today  employs around 3200 employees,   has a total 8 subsidiaries covering  US, Europe & Asia and a turnover of over 600  Crores.   

A Bombay University rank holder in B.E. (Mech.) in 1972, he received his M.Tech (Mech.) from IIT, Bombayin 1974.  Ashank completed his PGDBM from IIM,  Ahmedabad in 1979. One of the founders of NASSCOM he was the Chairman in 1996/97.  Was Vice-president of AOCIO. He has been invited by the Commonwealth Business Council to be a part of the six member global team of ZIBAC providing assistance and advice to the President of Zambia. He is the founder member of a newly formed Society called SINE at IIT, Bombay.  He was one of the members of the Committee involved in Planning the Overall Vision & Direction for IIT Bombay’s IT school, now named as KReSIT.He is actively involved in giving lectures on IT in schools / colleges / IITs / IIMs.He has contributed articles for various publications. Apart from this he is associated with quite a few NGOs working in Social Sectors.

Profile of S. C. Gupta
Mr. S.C. Gupta is currently Executive Director - Chief of Engineering Services at ONGC. He has 4 decades of experience with ONGC. He has been involved in a number of Mega Projects each valued at over $1 billion. He received coveted chairman’s award of “Mechanical Engineer of the year 1990” in recognition of outstanding and excellent contribution in dry docking and refit of drill ships/offshore drilling rigs ahead of schedule and in a cost effective manner. He is a member of Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) & Fellow of Indian Institution of Plant Engineers

Profile of Darayus Desai
Darayus Desai is Senior General Manager – Processes & Quality, with Atos Origin India Private Limited (www.atosorigin.com). He has over 23 years of experience in the IT industry, encompassing diverse areas like project management, technical management and general management. Darayus is also a certified ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor and a certified CMM Lead Assessor.
He has led several process improvement initiatives in Atos Origin India and helped the organization attain CMMI Level 5 and ISO 9001 certification. Currently, he is involved in various initiatives like ISO 20000, ISO 27001 and P-CMM. He has also provided consultancy to various multinational clients across the globe, in the areas of management consulting and process & quality management. He has also presented papers in various national and international conferences and seminars.

Profile of S. RAMANI
Principal Consultant, QAI, Ramani has over 20 years of experience in the IT and Management Consulting industry, spanning Client Relationship Management, Key Account Management, Project Management, Management Consulting (with PwC Consulting), Training / Facilitating and Systems Delivery Management. He has over 12 years of Project/ Program Management Experience, having successfully led multiple large Projects for Software / ERP Implementations, Business-Systems integration and IT strategy Development. These Projects were implemented in diverse sectors – including Discrete and Process manufacturing, Automotive, FMCG,Retail and Finance. Ramani is currently heading the Project Management Practice in QAI India Limited, wherein he is responsible for building up the practice through establishment of the Project Management Center of Excellence, by offering multiple Services, including Project Management related Consulting and Training and also through establishing alliances and brand building etc. Ramani is strongly process oriented and is well versed with the PMBOK of the PMI, ASAP methodology for ERP Implementation and PwC Proprietary methodologies for IT strategy Development, Systems Implementation, Project Management and Consulting, Change Management and Business Development.

Yogesh Naik with 14 years of work experience has offered his expert knowledge and service in various Industries like IT, Medical Electronics, and Textiles. In this span, he has had the privilege of working with Indian corporate leaders such as Tatas, Mafatlals & Torrent Group, representing functional areas such as Quality, Production, and Service. Currently he is working as Head-Quality for US based multinational Lionbridge Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
He is an Electronics Graduate from V.J.T. I., Mumbai & did his Post Graduation in Management with Specialization in Marketing. Also Certified Lead Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 & TickIT from DNV and also a Black Belt in Six Sigma. Over the years, he has led his team to implement major initiatives like ISO, CMM, PCMM, Malcolm Baldridge, SOX, SAS 70 and BS 7799.

Mr.Hitesh Sanghavi, Managing Director – CUNIX (SEI Transition Partner for CMMI –SCAMPI(SM)), is an SEI authorized SCAMPI Lead appraiser with a rich experience of 17 years and 1500 man days in IT Consulting ,S/w Test Strategies, Software Process Quality, CMM / CMMI, SPI Consulting, Training and appraisals. He was instrumental in a Key Consulting role for achieving CMM/CMMI/ISO Levels for various IT organizations and leads a team of consultants at CUNIX. He has appraised Netlinksoft and ESSPl, Tata Power, AG Technologies, Altec(Chile) for CMMI, and currently preparing several other organizations for CMMI based SPI programs and appraisals. He was also instrumental in CMM/CMMI consulting/assessments activities at Bluestar (CMM-5, CMMI-5) , Orient (ISO and CMM 4), Infrasoft (CMM 5), Lionbridge (ISO and CMM 5), Philips semiconductor and more. Apart from completing his Computer engineering, MBA, LA-ISO, CQA,PMP,NLP,CPCD(Certified Performance and Competancy Developer), Transformational Leadership training (XLRI )programs and his own professional learning experiences in the last 15 years include programs like Software testing, Software Reuse, several SEI certifications and Green Belt 6 sigma. PM Domain Expert and Solution Architect,
Visionary, Helmsman, Change Agent – whichever of these names you’d wish to call Ajay it doesn't matter. All suit him to the “T”. In fact, he’s been one of the pioneering forces of the Project Management movement in India.

A B.E.,  M.S. and an Academic Associate at Golratt Institute, USA, Ajay also heads the Center for Project Management at S. P. Jain Institute of Management Research, Mumbai. You can say he lives for Project Management; he’s involved with teaching MBA, EMBA courses on Project Management, Risk Management and Theory of Constraints. But that hasn’t deterred him from being a student simultaneously. Yes, Ajay is a Ph.D aspirant and is also pursuing a Stanford PM certification.

Raju Rao is Founder – Director of Xtraplus Solutions (www.xtraplus.co.in ) a training and consulting organization in project management .

Organizational project management involves linking strategy of an organization with projects .Raju is keenly interested in this topic and conducts courses in program and portfolio management and workshops on OPM3. He often speaks at various PMI Chapters, Global Congresses and conferences. Notable among them were The PMI Asia Pacific Congress at Singapore, that at Toronto and IPMA World Congress at New Delhi and recently the PMI Congress at Bangkok.
Raju is involved in the development of the many of the standards of PMI which include The PMBOK 3rd Edn Guide , Program and Portfolio Management standard and OPM3. Currently he is on the core team of the OPM3 2008 Update project. He is a certified PMP from PMI and a SCPM (Stanford Certified Project Manager) from Stanford University,USA . He is also one of first 'PMI Certified OPM3 Assessor's from DNV
