Recently I have used LG U8110, Nokia 6680, Motorola A1000 mobile phones. But I always find that they dont satisfy every requirement I have. I like some functionalities of one phone and functionalities of another as well. Here is what I would expect from my phone...
I am a real life photography lover, music listener and heavy mobile application user.
So combining features I would like mobile having following:
1. Touch screen (bigger enough to use on screen buttons by my fingers), like Sony P910i or Motorola A1000)
2. Extra keypad (like Sony Ericsson P910i) so can be used by one hand whenever required or sliding behind type design like Nokia 6111
3. MP3 and other music files player (with best sound quality). And yes; FM stereo is required.
4. Digital camera (minimum 2 megapixel, with good quality) Like Nokia N90, N92, Sony K750i.
5. Symbian Operating system. I liked Nokia 6680 OS (it is optimised for fast usage and robust to operate.
6. External Mini SD facility (currently supports upto 1GB)
7. Sleek design like Nokia 8800 mainly due to its stainless steel body and scratch resistant screen.
8. Connectivity through Bluetooth, wifi, infrared etc.
9. GPS hardware and software included. So can easily travel and find roads and streets in Europe.
10. Facility to load applications to suit different requirements like organiser, calculator, themes, ringtones, handwriting recognition, internet browsers, pdf viewer, office documents viewer (word, excel etc.), Games. Good idea is to load them all on CD provided with mobile and user can go through all applications and load which are required.
11. Internet connectivity through GPRS, Wifi etc. Should have facility to use as modem (to connect my laptop through mobile to internet)
12. Light weight to carry, easy to hold in hand and easy to use.
13. Digital TV , to view on the air TV channels (Nokia N92)
14. Connectivity to TV, to see picture gallery and slideshow on TV to my family members (like samsung D600).
All features are already available in one or another mobiles in the market.
What I am trying to do is combine them all.
I would like to hear from everyone what are their expectations from their Mobile phone. Even if you are not currently using it extensively, if you have a chance to design one what it will contain?
