In this update, we can see how the web directories which sells links are slamed and punished by G on 26th Oct,07. I have seen many forums which are also included in this PR punishment. It's like all web directories, making money on just PageRank value are punished and have dropped in Google's green toolbar.

1. Has the time come for Digg-style social voting search engines?
2. Can a search engine present algo-based results that can then be further influenced by user votes?
3. Are users comfortable enough with the concept of voting at this point to be able to marry digg-style voting with normal search?
4. And if socially-influenced SERPs become a reality, will we attempt to game it and subsequently ruin it?

Yahoo Inc is making Web search faster by introducing new ways of predicting what users are looking for, while seeking to keep pace with rivals by including video, audio and picture results as answers to text searches.

The company said the new features it announced on Monday were aimed at better understanding the intention of users conducting particular types of searches and to get them to the information they desire within a single search.
