World Telecom Day is celebrated every year on 17th May every year as on this day International Telecommunication Union was established.

On this day Technical lectures, symposia are organized by Telecom professional bodies all over the world on the theme advised by ITU. This year's theme is

" Connecting the Young: the opportunities of ICT”.

The speaker for this theme would be Sujata Dev of Time Broadband India
